Meet Our Staff
Our staff physicians are all trained anesthesiologists with training in hyperbaric medicine.

Our Director of Clinical Operations has 20 years of experience operating a hyperbaric medicine clinic.
Our hyperbaric chamber technicians are experienced medical professionals who are certified, or in the process of becoming certified by the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology.
Dr. Fahad Alam
MD, CIP, MHSc, FRCPC
Dr. Alam obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree at McMaster University, completed his residency at the University of Toronto, and has been a staff anesthesiologist since 2014. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the UofT Temerty Faculty of Medicine and his research interests include medical education, technology enhanced learning, simulation, eLearning and cognitive learning theories.
Dr. Chris Idestrup
MSc, MD, FRCPC
Dr. Idestrup obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree and completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Toronto in 2005. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the UofT Temerty Faculty of Medicine and his interests include regional anesthesia (ultrasound guided nerve blocks and neuraxial anesthesia), obstetrical anesthesia, trauma and hospital administration.
Dr. Ben Safa
MSc, MD, FRCPC
Dr. Safa obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree at University of Ottawa in 1998 and completed his anesthesia residency training at the University of Toronto in 2003 followed by fellowship training at Cornell University in 2004. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the UofT Temerty Faculty of Medicine. His research interests include pain management, nerve blocks, regional anesthesia and functional outcomes following surgery.
Dr. Keith Tanner
MD, FRCPC
Dr. Tanner obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Toronto where he also completed his Anaesthesia residency. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the UofT Temerty Faculty of Medicine since 1998.
Dr. Oskar Singer
MD, MSHS-HCQ, FRCPC
Dr. Singer obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree at McMaster University and completed his residency along with a fellowship in regional and obsteric anesthesia at the University of Toronto. He holds a Master’s in Health Sciences focusing on Health Care Quality from George Washington University. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the UofT Temerty Faculty of Medicine and his academic interests include medical education, eLearning, and quality improvement.
Dr. Jordan Tarshis
MD, FRCPC, DRCPC
Dr. Tarshis obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree at McMaster University and completed his residency at the University of Toronto in 1996. He is on staff as an anaesthesiologist at a large Toronto hospital with interests in simulation, education and research ethics. Dr. Tarshis is a Diplomate of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada after completing the Area of Focused Competence in Hyperbaric Medicine at the University of Toronto.
Holly Gillam
RN, CHT
Holly is an experienced Advanced Practice Critical Care Nurse with over 20 years of experience in Hyperbaric Medicine, specialty wound and pain management. She is the Hyperbaric Safety Director and Director of Clinical Operations at Restore.
Dan Felix Fajardo
RPN, CHT
Dan completed his bachelor’s degree in Nursing in Philippines the and has extensive experience in practicing in the emergency department, cardiology, operating rooms, and critical care. He subsequently obtained his CHT certification from National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology.
Ashley Emran
RPN, CHT
Ashley has been a Registered Practical Nurse for almost 10 years with experience in Family Practice, Pediatric and Maternal Medicine. She obtained her certificate as a Hyperbaric Technician and dedicates her time and providing high quality care to her patients.
Eimaeleen Miguel
RPN, CHT
Eimaeleen is an Internationally Educated Nurse with 11 years of experience. She graduated with Honors from Humber's RPN refresher program and has previous experience as Occupational Health and Safety Supervisor as well as Community Support Manager before becoming part of the hyperbaric team
Kevin Ercia
RPN, CHT
Kevin obtained his Nursing Degree at Far Eastern University and was licensed to practice in the Philippines in 2011. He acquired his license as a registered Practical Nurse in Canada in 2021. Aside from working as a hyperbaric technician, he is also a community health nurse.
Rejie Sebollena
RT, CHT
Ree’jerund completed his Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy in the Philippines specializing in Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine prior to migrating to Canada. He has ten years of experience managing and operating multi-place and monoplace chambers
Shamar McLaren
Lead Administrative Assistant
Shamar runs the office at Restore Hyperbarics as the Office Administrator. She has an educational background in Electromechanical Engineering, Biology, and Chemistry. She has notable past work experience in customer service and has a strong interest in health sciences.
Dinithi Siriwikum
CHT
Dinithi is an international medical graduate with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree at the Faculty of Medicine from Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. Her research interest includes histopathology sampling, gastrointestinal and endometrial carcinoma. She is part of the Restore team as a CHT.
